Habitat and Description: Occasional in mown area along edge of blackbrush-dominated medium-stature thorn shrubland on extremely gravelly sandy soil on upland underlain by caliche or sandstone of Lissie Formation. Associates include Acacia rigidula, Acalypha monostachya, Acourtia runcinata, Allium drummondii, Evolvulus sericeus, Galactia heterophylla, Gilia incisa, Hedeoma drummondii, Hermannia texana, Indigofera miniata, Jatropha dioica, Lesquerella lindheimeri, Linum rigidum, Melampodium cinereum, Salvia ballotiflora, Tridens muticus.
