Habitat and Description: Common in medium- to tall-stature shrubland on well drained, neutral to mildly alkaline fine sandy loam on nearly level upland. Associates include Cardiospermum corindum, Cordia boissieri, Croton cortesianus, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Lantana horrida, Phaulothamnus spinescens, Pithecellobium ebano, P. pallens, Prosopis glandulosa, Salvia ballotiflora, Serjania brachycarpa, Zanthoxylum fagara.
