Habitat and Description: Locally common in rather sparse and mostly herbaceous vegetation on dry limestone gravel on unshaded scour plain of major flood-prone stream. Associates include Cevallia sinuata, Eryngium leavenworthii, Indigofera lindheimeriana, Palafoxia callosa, Polanisia dodecandra, Senna roemeriana.
