Habitat and Description: Rare, forming mats on dry alluvial silt or clay in unshaded bottom of seasonally dry deep pool in bed of intermittent stream. Associates include Cynodon dactylon, Echinochloa colona, Helenium microcephalum, Leptochloa filiformis, Leucospora multifida, Phyla nodiflora, Salvia reflexa, Xanthium strumarium.
