Habitat and Description: Frequent in wet clay along unshaded margin of stock tank between gentle slopes of gravelly Pleistocene alluvium. Associates include Ammannia coccinea, Bergia texana, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus odoratus, Echinochloa sp., Leptochloa sp., Lycium carolinianum, Marsilea sp., Paspalum lividum, Phyla sp., Schoenoplectus sp., Symphyotrichum divaricatum.
