Habitat and Description: Common on ground level exposures of Cretaceous limestone (Kiamichi or Duck Creek formation) on stony part of midslope on gently rolling prairie landscape. Associates include Paronychia jamesii, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Schizachyrium scoparium.
