Habitat and Description: Occasional low shrub in mixed scattered vegetation in shallow gravel and dry silt atop Edwards Limestone exposed on scour plain of flood-prone stream. Associates include Boerhavia linearifolia, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Houstonia nigricans, small Platanus occidentalis.
