Habitat and Description: Locally abundant in wet clay in bottom of seasonal pond in borrow pit on otherwise level landscape underlain by Lissie Formation. Associates include Chloracantha spinosa, Cynodon dactylon, Echinodorus berteroi, Eleocharis quadrangulata, Eragrostis reptans, Leptochloa sp., Lythrum californicum, Parkinsonia aculeata, Paspalum urvillei, Persicaria spp., Phyla sp., Rumex pulcher, Schoenoplectus californicus, Teucrium canadense, Typha domingensis.
