Habitat and Description: Small tree ca. 12 ft. tall; occasional in riparian woodland on silty alluvium on high bank and slope. Associates include Berberis trifoliolata, Carya illinoinensis, Celtis reticulata, Cocculus carolinus, Diospyros texana, Forestiera pubescens, Nassella leucotricha, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Prosopis glandulosa, Quercus fusiformis, Q. macrocarpa, Smilax bona-nox, Sapindus saponaria, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Sophora secundiflora, Toxicodendron sp.
