Habitat and Description: Common on honeycombed Edwards Limestone exposed in open areas. Associates include Baccharis texana, Bouteloua pectinata, Ceanothus herbaceus, Celtis reticulata, Diospyros texana, Hedeoma drummondii, Juniperus sp., Liatris mucronata, Linum rupestre, Mimosa aculeaticarpa, Opuntia lindheimeri, Parthenocissus heptaphylla, Quercus fusiformis, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sorghastrum nutans, Stillingia texana, Toxicodendron sp., Verbena canescens, Wedelia hispida, Yucca reverchonii.
