Habitat and Description: Rare in grassland or mown lawn on somewhat clayey soils on level upland underlain by Beaumont Formation. Associates include Ambrosia cheiranthifolia, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Astragalus brazoensis, Bouchetia erecta, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Buchloe dactyloides, Chloris sp., Dyssodia tenuiloba, Evolvulus sericeus, Indigofera miniata, Medicago polymorpha, Nassella leucotricha, Nothoscordum bivalve, Oenothera speciosa, Sisyrinchium sp.
