Habitat and Description: Common in moist silt and limestone gravel on streambank and Edwards Limestone exposed on scour plain of flood-prone stream in bottom of broad canyon. Associates include Andropogon glomeratus, Bacopa monnieri, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Cyperus elegans, Eleocharis rostellata, Eupatorium serotinum, Fuirena simplex, Hydrocotyle verticillata, Justicia americana, Lemna valdiviana, Mitreola petiolata, Panicum virgatum, Phragmites communis, Platanus occidentalis, Rhynchospora colorata, Samolus parviflorus, Solidago juliae, Tripsacum dactyloides, Verbena scabra.
