Habitat and Description: Somewhat suffrutescent; local on sparingly vegetated gypsum outcrops exposed on spine of ridge near top of moderate to steep slope underlain by Blaine Formation (Permian). Associates include Aristida sp. (26379), Bouteloua curtipendula, Calylophus sp. (26378), Dalea (aurea?), Echinocereus reichenbachii, Euphorbia missouriensis, Hedyotis nigricans, Heterotheca spp., Hymenopappus sp., Liatris sp., Mentzelia nuda, Opuntia sp., Paronychia jamesii, Phacelia integrifolia, Polygala alba, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Thelesperma megapotamicum.
