Habitat and Description: Thicket-forming shrub to 3-4 feet tall; locally common, co-dominating (with Crataegus sp. 28053) open shrubland on flat ridgetop under underlain by Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Celtis reticulata, Opuntia lindheimeri, Prosopis glandulosa, Rhus trilobata, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Toxicodendron sp.
