Habitat and Description: Stems woody, forming low clumps; some leaves blue-green, others (those of flowering branches) brighter green; common in deep, somewhat poorly drained, moderately alkaline, strongly saline fine sandy loam (Willamar Series) on unshaded shoreline of inland salt lake. Associates include Monanthochloe littoralis.
