Habitat and Description: Locally common in herbaceous vegetation in clearing (old ag field or improved pasture) in deciduous forest on Windthorst sandy loam on gentle lower slope underlain by Antlers Sand, W side of mouth of ranch's E canyon. Associates include Achillea millefolium, Ambrosia psilostachya, Berlandiera betonicifolia, Bromus japonicus, Cnidoscolus texanus, Cyperus filiculmis, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Juncus interior, J. marginatus, Mollugo verticillata, Monarda punctata, Paspalum notatum, Rumex hastatulus, Rudbeckia hirta.
