Habitat and Description: Common in early successional parts of forb-rich herbaceous vegetation on partially stabilized inland dunes of South Texas Holocene Sand Sheet. Associates include Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaecrista calycioides, C. flexuosa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croptilon divaricatum, Croton capitatus, Ditaxis pilosissima, Eupatorium compositifolium, Euphorbia innocua, Galactia canescens, Monarda fruticulosa, Opuntia lindheimeri, Rhynchosia americana, Stylisma pickeringii, Stylisma villosa, Tephrosia lindheimeri.
