Habitat and Description: Frequent in shallow stony clay on nearly level to slightly convex upland underlain by Goodland Limestone. Associates include Allium drummondii, Amsonia ciliata, Anemone berlandieri, Asclepias asperula, Astragalus nuttallianus, Avena sativa, Callirhoe sp., Calylophus sp., Dalea reverchonii, Engelmannia peristenia, Erodium cicutarium, E. texanum, Gaillardia pulchella, Gaura sp., Glandularia bipinnatifida, Tetraneuris linearifolia, Linum pratense, Lupinus texensis, Nothoscordum bivalve, Oenothera macrocarpa, O. triloba, Pediomelum reverchonii, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Plantago helleri, Salvia texana, Scutellaria wrightii, Thelesperma filifolium, Zigadenus nuttallii.
