Habitat and Description: Frequent in rather weedy herbaceous vegetation on clayey alluvium on occasionally inundated unshaded terrace of intermittent creek draining rolling prairie landscape underlain by Cretaceous limestone, just upstream from stock tank N of barn and S of hangar. Scarce elsewhere on ranch. Associates include Bromus japonicus, Coreopsis tinctoria, Dracopis amplexicaulis, Helenium elegans, Panicum capillare, Paspalum distichum, Phyla nodiflora, Rumex altissimus, Solanum rostratum, Tridens albescens, Xanthium strumarium.
