Habitat and Description: Frequent in dense mid- to tallgrass matrix grassland on stony clay or clay loam on gently rolling upland prairie landscape underlain by Cretaceous limestone, W side of road to E canyon. Associates include Asclepias viridis, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bromus japonicus, Centaurea americana, Elymus canadensis, Engelmannia pinnatifida, Gaillardia pulchella, Lythrum californicum, Nassella leucotricha, Psoralidium tenuiflorum, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sorghastrum nutans, Vernonia baldwinii.
