Habitat and Description: Occasional in heavily utilized but not recently burned grassland with some invasion of Baccharis halamifolia, on nonsaline loamy Edna soils at imperceptible high point on Mad Island Marsh Preserve. Associates include Ambrosia psilostachya, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Ciclospermum leptophyllum, Dalea multiflora, Delphinium virescens, Dyschoriste linearis, Erigeron strigosus, Fimbristylis puberula, Hordeum pusillum, Houstonia nigricans, Iva annua, Krameria lanceolata, Linum sp., Micromeria brownei, Mimosa (Schrankia) sp., Monarda citriodora, Nassella leucotricha, Neptunia lutea, Oenothera speciosa, Paspalum plicatulum, Phalaris caroliniana, Polygala alba, Prosopis glandulosa, Pyrrhopappus sp., Ratibida columnifera, Rubus sp., Spartina spartinae, Steinchisma hians, Tradescantia sp., Tridens congestus, Verbena brasiliense, V. halei.
