Habitat and Description: Small tree; petals 5, white; occasional in live oak - Texas oak - Ashe juniper woodland on nearly level upland underlain by Cretaceous limestone, just inside gate at Bear Creek Ranch. Associates include Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Forestiera pubescens, Quercus buckleyi, Q. fusiformis, Yucca pallida.
