Habitat and Description: Rare in deciduous forest on slope of canyon underlain by Goodland Limestone, Walnut Clay and Antlers Sand, in E canyon on the Leo Unit of the Dixon Ranch. Associates include Acer negundo, Arisaema dracontium, Arnoglossum plantagineum, Asplenium platyneuron, other Carex spp., Celtis laevigata, Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Chasmanthium latifolium, Cornus drummondii, Desmodium spp., Elephantopus carolinianus, Elymus virginicus, Equisetum laevigatum, Frangula caroliniana, Fraxinus texensis, Hypericum hypericoides, Ilex decidua, Juniperus virginiana, Lactuca sp., Packera obovata, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Prunus mexicana, Quercus buckleyi, Quercus muhlenbergii, Sanicula canadensis, Smilax bona-nox, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Toxicodendron sp., Ulmus americana, U. crassifolia, Verbesina virginica, Viburnum rufidulum.
