Locality: United States, Texas, Val Verde, Amistad National Recreation Area: Head of the south fork of San Pedro Creek, east side of Highway 277 South. Sample plot no. 44. Del Rio NW Quad (1:24,000).
Habitat and Description: Rocky (limestone), thin, brown clay soils over limestone bedrock on level to moderately sloping hills; cenizo shrubland with Border pricklypear, leatherstem, guayacan, desert myrtlecroton, and groovestem bouchea. With Opuntia atrispina, Jatropha dioica, Guaiacum angustifolium, Bernardia obovata, Leucophyllum frutescens, and Bouchea linifolia. Common perennial to 35 cm. Corolla whitish or greenish yellow, fading to brick red. NPS Accession No.: AMIS-00291. NPS Catalog No.: AMIS 41378.
