Locality: United States, Texas, Val Verde, Amistad National Recreation Area: Head of the south fork of San Pedro Creek, east side of Highway 277 South. Sample plot no. 44. Del Rio NW Quad (1:24,000).
Habitat and Description: Rocky (limestone), thin, brown clay soils over limestone bedrock on level to moderately sloping hills; cenizo shrubland with Border pricklypear, leatherstem, guayacan, desert myrtlecroton, and groovestem bouchea. With Opuntia atrispina, Jatropha dioica, Guaiacum angustifolium, Bernardia obovata, Leucophyllum frutescens, and Bouchea linifolia. Infrequent perennial to 10 cm. Rays and discs yellow.
