Locality: United States, Texas, Val Verde, Amistad National Recreation Area: Lowry Springs canyon. Sample plot no. 15. Rough Canyon & Satan Canyon Quads (1:24,000).
Habitat and Description: Base of limestone cliffs in gravelly (limestone), silty soils in broad drainage, upper edge of former inundation zone; blackbrush-beebrush shrubland with King Ranch bluestem, mesquite, Lindheimer pricklypear, and white four-o'clock. With Bothriochloa ischaemum var. songarica, Aloysia gratissima, Prosopis glandulosa, Opuntia engelmannii var. lindheimeri, and Mirabilis albida. Locally common perennial to 50 cm.
