Habitat and Description: Locally common in grazed grassland on shallow stony clay loam on upper part of rolling prairie landscape underlain by Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Gutierrezia texana, Iva angustifolia, Plantago rhodosperma, Tetraneuris linearifolia, Thelesperma filifolium.
