Habitat and Description: Locally abundant in deep, somewhat poorly drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline black clay in shallow natural wet depression / drainageway in unshaded bottomland pasture. Associates include Carex tetrastachya, Iva annua, Oenothera speciosa, Phalaris caroliniana, Phyla nodiflora, Ranunculus sp., Rumex crispus.
