Locality: United States, Texas, Cooke, E and NE of old barn along road in middle canyon, ca. 1.1 airmiles SSE of Co. Rd. 398 bridge over Clear Creek, ca. 1.0 airmiles N of jct. Cooke, Denton and Wise counties. LO Unit of Dixon Ranch. Greenwood Quadrangle. Elev. 760 - 780 ft.

Habitat and Description: Local on ranch but frequent in openings in deciduous woodlands on Windthorst fine sandy loam, on gentle underlain by Antlers Sand, at base of steeper slopes underlain by Goodland / Walnut Limestone. Associates include Berlandiera betonicifolia, Bromus japonicus, Callirhoe involucrata, Cnidoscolus texanus, Cyperus cf. filiculmis, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, Galactia volubilis, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Juncus marginatus, Loeflingia squarrosa, Matelea biflora, Monarda punctata, Pediomelum digitatum, P. rhombifolium, Rudbeckia hirta, Scleria cf. ciliata, Tradescantia sp.
