Habitat and Description:
Trailing on ground and climbing into shrubs; local in evergreen-deciduous forest on steep rocky N-facing slope of Edwards Limestone just above contact with Glen Rose Limestone. Principal associates include Quercus buckleyi, Q. laceyi, Prunus serotina ssp. eximia, Juglans major, Fraxinus texensis, Aesculus pavia, Juniperus ashei, Rhamnus caroliniana, Diospyros texana, Sophora secundiflora. Edwards Plateau endemics in the area include Anemone edwardsiana, Amorpha roemerana, Carex edwardsiana, Chaetopappa effusa, Clematis texensis, Nolina lindheimeriana, Tragia nigricans, Yucca rupicola.
