Habitat and Description: Locally common in tall herbaceous vegetation among mesquite on deep, well drained, neutral fine sandy loam Udic Paleustalfs (Springer series) on slightly convex upland underlain by Blaine Formation (Permian). Associates include Andropogon hallii, Artemisia filifolia, Conyza canadensis, Eriogonum multiflorum, Heterotheca subaxillaris.
