Habitat and Description: Rare in grassland on shallow gravelly clay loam atop bedrock exposure of Cretaceous limestone on convex upland on rather narrow ridge. Associates include Bifora americana, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Coreopsis tinctoria, Gaillardia pulchella, Hymenopappus scabiosaeus, Lindheimera texana, Linum berlandieri, Matelea biflora, Mimosa sp., Phyllanthus polygonoides, Scutellaria drummondii.
