Habitat and Description: Common in early-successional herbaceous vegetation slightly acid fine sand in clearing around pond at base of natural gas well pad, on rolling landscape underlain by Sparta Sand and generally supporting post oak forest. Associates include Aira caryophyllea var. capillaris, Anagallis arvensis, Briza minor, Cnidoscolus texanus, Gamochaeta purpurea, Linaria texana, Oenothera laciniata, Plantago hookeriana, Polycarpon tetraphyllum, Rumex hastatulus, Trifolium repens, Triodanis biflora, Vulpia octoflora.
