Habitat and Description: Shrub with stems mostly 1-2 ft. tall; petals white; common in mostly herbaceous and sometimes sparse vegetation on shallow stony clay soils on upper rim of steep slope of Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Allium drummondii, Amsonia ciliata, Bouteloua pectinata, Calylophus sp., Carex planostachys, Castilleja purpurea, Erioneuron pilosum, Liatris sp., Linum rigidum, Marshallia cespitosa, Oenothera brachycarpa, Pediomelum latestipulatum, P. linearifolium, Phlox pilosa, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Physaria densiflora, Plantago helleri, Polygala alba, Scutellaria wrightii, Silphium albiflorum, Tetraneuris linearifolia, T. scaposa, Toxicodendron sp. (shrub), Valerianella amarella, Yucca pallida.
