Habitat and Description: Rare in shrub-invaded grassland on shallow stony clay soils level upland at top of landscape underlain by Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Allium drummondii, Amsonia ciliata, Bouteloua pectinata, Calylophus sp., Carex planostachys, Castilleja purpurea, Ceanothus herbaceus, Erioneuron pilosum, Liatris sp., Linum rigidum, Marshallia cespitosa, Oenothera brachycarpa, Pediomelum latestipulatum, P. linearifolium, Phlox pilosa, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Physaria densiflora, Plantago helleri, Polygala alba, Scutellaria wrightii, Silphium albiflorum, Tetraneuris linearifolia, T. scaposa, Toxicodendron sp. (shrub), Valerianella amarella, Yucca pallida.
