Habitat and Description: Annual; locally common in mesquite-invaded old improved pasture or cropland on deep alluvial clay or silty clay on broad flat creek terrace underlain at some depth by Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Bromus catharticus, B. japonicus, Nassella leucotricha, Prosopis glandulosa.
