Habitat and Description:
Occasional in thorn shrubland on deep, friable, well drained, moderately alkaline, calcareous, sandy clay loam (Colibro Series) on alluvial terrace underlain by Weches Formation. Woody components of shrubland include Acacia greggii, A. rigidula, Aloysia gratissima, Baccharis texana, Berberis trifoliolata, Celtis pallida, C. reticulata, Colubrina texensis, Condalia hookeri, Eysenhardtia texana, Guaiacum angustifolium, Lantana urticoides, Lycium berlandieri, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, Prosopis glandulosa, Ptelea trifoliata, Salvia ballotiflora, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Wedelia texana, Yucca constricta, Y. treculeana, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
