Habitat and Description: Occasional in shaded parts of mesquite woodland on formerly cultivated fields (Labores de Espada) on Frio clay loam of +/- level terrace. Woody dominants include Prosopis glandulosa, Celtis laevigata, Acacia smallii. Herbaceous dominants in openings include Cynodon dactylon, Gaillardia pulchella, Torilis arvensis. NPS accession no. SAAN-00304, NPS catalog no. 20811.
