Habitat and Description: Common in shade of mesquite woodland on gentle slope along shallow intermittent drainage, on deep, friable, well drained, moderately alkaline, calcareous sandy clay loam (Colibro Series) on upland underlain by Weches Formation and mantled by alluvium. NPS accession no. SAAN-00304, NPS catalog no. 20350.
