Habitat and Description: Locally frequent in small patches of shrubland and in understory of adjacent hackberry woodland, edge of formerly cultivated field on upland on top of bluff. Associates include Abutilon incanum, Acacia minuata, Bromus catharticus, Carlowrightia texana, Celtis laevigata, C. pallida, Cissus incisa, Clematis drummondii, Cocculus carolinus, Colubrina texensis, Commelina erecta, Cynodon dactylon, Diospyros texana, Ehretia anacua, Gaillardia pulchella, Gaura parviflora, Malvastrum coromandelianum, Melia azedarach, Merremia dissecta, Mirabilis jalapa, Phoradendron tomentosum, Prosopis glandulosa, Rapistrum rugosum, Rhynchosia minima, Setaria leucopila, Simsia calva, Smilax bona-nox, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Torilis arvensis, Tridens texanus, Viguiera dentata, Vitis mustangensis, Yucca treculeana, Ziziphus obtusifolia.
