Habitat and Description: Rare on tract but locally frequent in deep, well drained, noncalcareous loamy fine sandy (Wilco Series) over Weches Formation, on farm lane and in fencerows and other unplowed areas along tame pasture. Associates include Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Aristida purpurea, Bromus catharticus, Castilleja indivisa, Chloris cucullata, Dichondra recurvata, Euphorbia peplidion, Gaillardia pulchella, Galium virgatum, Glandularia pumila, Krigia cespitosa, Leptoloma cognata, Linaria texana, Linum imbricatum, Phlox drummondii, Pyrrhopappus pauciflorus, Vicia leavenworthii, Vulpia octoflora.
