Habitat and Description: Locally common in Frio clay loam on upper part of San Antonio River floodplain, in narrow strip of relatively natural midgrass grassland (not exotic-dominated hay meadow just to W). Associates include Agalinis strictifolia, Aristida purpurea, Aster ericoides, Bothriochloa laguroides var. torreyana, Desmanthus virgatus var. depressus, Eragrostis intermedia, Florestina tripteris, Hedeoma drummondii, Helianthus maximiliani, Hymenopappus scabiosaeus, Mimosa latidens, Viguiera dentata. NPS accession no. SAAN-00304, NPS catalog no. 20682.
