Habitat and Description: Locally common on clay bars in bed of intermittent stream and on partially shaded but otherwise open adjacent clay slopes. Associates include Apocynum cannabinum, Heliotropium indicum, Euphorbia nutans, E. maculata, Mollugo verticillata, Sesbania sp., Xanthium strumarium, Chloracantha spinosa, Polygonum ramosissimum, Cynodon dactylon, Croton capitatus, C. monanthogynus, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Phyla nodiflora, Physalis angulata. NPS accession no. SAAN-00304, NPS catalog no. 20401.
