Habitat and Description: Common in ponderosa pine- alligator juniper- Emory oak- gray oak forest on fairly steep rocky rhyolite slope. Most individuals past flowering. Associates include Arbutus xalapensis, Juniperus deppeana, Monarda sp., Pinus remota, P. ponderosa, Prunus serotina, Quercus emoryi, Q. grisea, Q. hypoleucoides, Vitis arizonica.
