Habitat and Description: Sems erect-ascending; occasional in sparse herbaceous vegetation among scattered low shrubs on tight saline clay on +/- level spot on undulating upland. Vegetation dominated by Iva texensis, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Castela erecta, Prosopis reptans. Other associates included Acacia schaffneri, Atriplex sp., Condalia spathulata, Dalea pogonathera, Hilaria belangeri, Hoffmannseggia drummondii, Jatropha dioica, Lycium berlandieri, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, Pappophorum sp., Prosopis glandulosa (stunted), Pterocaulon virgatum, Thymophylla tenuiloba, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
