Habitat and Description: Locally common on well drained gravelly sandy loam on unshaded to partially shaded highway right-of-way at high point on rolling landscape underlain by Pleistocene gravel of the Willis Formation. Associates included Acacia smallii, Agalinis sp., Opuntia lindheimeri, Quercus stellata, Schoenocaulon drummondii.
