Habitat and Description: In herbaceous vegetation on short but fairly steep N-facing slope with exposures of Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Aristida sp., Asclepias asperula, Ceanothus herbaceus, Dalea aurea, D. compacta, Dyssodiopsis tagetoides, Eriogonum longifolium, Grindelia sp., Houstonia nigricans, Hymenopappus tenuifolius, Marshallia cespitosa, Pediomelum linearifolium, Penstemon cobaea, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Rhus copallina, Schizachyrium scoparium, Scutellaria wrightii, Senna roemeriana, Silphium albiflorum, Stenosiphon linifolius, Stillingia texana, Thelesperma filifolium, Tragia ramosa, Vernonia lindheimeri, Yucca pallida, Zanthoxylum hirsutum. Common.
