Habitat and Description: In emergent herbaceous vegetation on clayey alluvium on unshaded bank of nearly perennial stream draining rolling prairie landscape underlain by Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Agalinis heterophylla, Ambrosia trifida, Ammannia coccinea, Amorpha fruticosa, Andropogon glomeratus, Aster subulatus, Aster texanus, Baccharis neglecta, Bidens frondosa, Cornus drummondii, Cyperus odoratus, Eclipta prostrata, Echinochloa sp., Eleocharis montividensis, Euphorbia marginata, E. nutans, Fuirena simplex, Iva angustifolia, I. annua, Leersia oryzoides, Mitreola petiolata, Panicum virgatum, Paspalum distichum, Pluchea odorata, Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum, Salix nigra, Solidago altissima, Strophostyles helvola, Teucrium canadense, Tridens albescens, Xanthium strumarium.
