Habitat and Description: With Cynodon dactylon in grassy opening in deciduous woodland on fine sandy loam gently slope underlain by Antlers Sand. Associates include Carya illinoinensis, Cercis canadensis, Cocculus carolinus, Cornus drummondii, Elephantopus carolinianus, Frangula caroliniana, Panicum anceps, Quercus buckleyi, Q. muhlenbergii, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Smilax bona-nox, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Ulmus crassifolia, Verbesina virginica. Locally frequent.
