Habitat and Description: In moist loamy alluvial soils on low bank of intermittent stream draining forested slopes underlain by Antlers Sand, middle canyon. Associates include Agrimonia rostellata, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Antennaria parlinii, Aster texanus, Aureolaria grandiflora, Celtis laevigata, Cercis canadensis, Cornus drummondii, Desmodium spp., Elephantopus sp., Elymus virginicus, Frangula caroliniana, Fraxinus texensis, Leersia virginica, Maclura pomifera, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Passiflora lutea, Quercus muhlenbergii, Ruellia strepens, Sanicula canadensis, Sophora affinis, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Ulmus rubra, Verbesina virginica, Viburnum rufidulum. Occasional.
